Tanya Strickland

This is Tanya Strickland's fifth year at CCCA, where she is our school nurse and our PE teacher.  She attended Mellow Valley School until it closed an finished her last 2 years of high school at Lineville High School where she graduated in 2005.  Tanya went on to attend nursing school at Southern Union College and graduated in 2009.  She has 10 years of nursing experience in many aspects of the field.  She has played basketball and softball since she was big enough to hold a ball and was a very decorated high school athlete.  

Tanya has been married for 12 years to her husband, Rickey and they have 3 beautiful children together:  Leah who is in 7th grade, Maci who is in 6rd grade and Owen who is in 4th grade, all at CCCA.  Tanya has always looked up to Coach Pat Summit as her mentor.   Her favorite things are her family, sports, the University of Alabama, the lake, and sweet tea!  

She loves the  opportunity to not only coach the youth into being good athletes but to also help mold them to be even better people.
